Overview
The Stonex S590 GNSS Receiver is a high-performance rover designed for both GIS and RTK surveying, combining portability with advanced GNSS technology. As shown on pages 2 and 3 of the brochure, the S590 features a 1408-channel multi-constellation engine capable of tracking all major satellite systems, providing fast initialization and centimeter-level accuracy in challenging environments.
Equipped with a cutting-edge IMU, the S590 captures precise measurements even when tilted up to 60°, allowing crews to work efficiently around obstacles and uneven terrain. The receiver also supports raw data logging and PPP correction services, making it suitable for GIS mapping, asset collection, and precision RTK surveys.
The S590 offers strong connectivity through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and optional external UHF radios, enabling long-range RTK operation and integration with drones for GCP collection, as referenced on page 3. It interfaces smoothly with Cube-a software for Android, providing a modern and efficient workflow for both surveying and GIS applications.
Built to endure rough job sites, the S590 carries an IP67 rating and is tested to survive a 1.2 m drop without damage. Its compact housing and extended battery life make it an ideal rover for crews needing powerful GNSS performance in a small, dependable device.
