The Leica Rugby 60DG is available in two complete packages. Both configurations include the Rugby 60DG laser, Rod Eye 105B digital receiver, and RC60 remote control. The primary difference is the battery system.

Overview

The Leica Rugby 60DG Dual Grade Laser Level is a fully automatic professional grade laser designed for construction crews that need accurate elevation and grade control across demanding jobsites. Digital grade can be entered on both axes up to 15%, allowing the Rugby 60DG to handle level, single-grade, and dual-grade applications with fast, repeatable setup.

With an operating diameter of up to 3,000 ft, accuracy of ±1/16 in at 100 ft, automatic self-leveling, and an IP67-rated housing, the Rugby 60DG is built for everyday grading, excavation, drainage, concrete, roadwork, and general site construction.

Fully Automatic Dual Grade Control

The Rugby 60DG provides fully automatic digital grade control in both axes. Operators can enter the required grade directly into the laser, making it easy to establish precise grades without relying on manual laser head adjustments.

Leica Rod Eye 105B Digital Receiver

Both Rugby 60DG packages include the Leica Rod Eye 105B Digital Laser Receiver with Bracket.

The Rod Eye 105B provides:

• 4 in / 105 mm detection window
• 3.5 in / 90 mm numeric readout height
• Beam Catching
• Beam Lock

Beam Catching

Beam Catching allows the Rugby 60DG to automatically locate the Rod Eye 105B receiver, helping crews establish the required grade plane faster without repeatedly returning to the laser.

Beam Lock

Beam Lock allows the system to monitor the receiver position and maintain alignment, helping provide dependable grade control during demanding applications.

Leica designed the Rugby 60DG and Rod Eye 105B combination to deliver repeatable, accurate results over long distances and in tough construction conditions.

Leica RC60 Remote Control

The included Leica RC60 Remote Control allows operators to control the Rugby 60DG without returning to the instrument for every adjustment.

The RC60 provides:

• 300 m / 1,000 ft operating radius
• Two AA battery power
• Approximately 70 hours of typical battery life

Remote operation is particularly useful during grade setup and alignment when the operator may be positioned hundreds of feet away from the laser.

Alkaline vs. Li-Ion Rugby 60DG Packages

Both Rugby 60DG packages provide the same dual-grade performance, Rod Eye 105B receiver, and RC60 remote. The difference is how the laser is powered.

6020270 — Alkaline Package

The 6020270 configuration includes Leica’s alkaline battery tray and two D-cell alkaline batteries.

The Rugby 60DG provides more than 60 hours of operating time on alkaline batteries, making this configuration a practical choice for crews that prefer readily available disposable batteries.

6020269 — Li-Ion Package

The 6020269 configuration includes a rechargeable Li-Ion battery and Leica A100 charger.

The rechargeable Li-Ion battery provides more than 40 hours of operating time per charge.

The Li-Ion package is ideal for crews that use the Rugby 60DG regularly and prefer a rechargeable power system rather than purchasing replacement D-cell batteries.
