Yes, we serve customers nationwide. When you’re not local to Los Angeles, you can send us your instruments via insured shipping. Once we receive your item, we’ll perform the calibration and then securely package and ship it back to you. How long does the calibration service take?
We’re known for our quick turnaround. Typically, once we receive your equipment, we calibrate it and have it ready to ship back within a few business days. Some simple calibrations might be turned around in 1-2 days. If you drop off your equipment at our Los Angeles location, you can often pick it up in a day or two. We’ll give you an estimated timeframe when you arrange the service.
And if you have an urgent job, let us know, we’ll do our best to expedite.
Do you also repair equipment or just calibrate?
Do you also repair equipment or just calibrate?
We do both. As a authorized repair center, we can handle repairs for many common issues (alignment problems, part replacements, etc.) in addition to calibration. For example, if your total station or laser is out of level because a component is worn or damaged, we can fix that issue, then calibrate the instrument so it’s as good as new. If we find anything during calibration that needs repair, we’ll contact you with details. This one-stop service saves you time since you don’t have to send your gear to multiple places.
What kind of equipment can you calibrate?
What kind of equipment can you calibrate?
We calibrate a wide range of surveying and construction instruments of ANY manufacturer. This includes:
- Automatic levels
- Laser levels
- Theodolites
- Total stations (manual and robotic),
- Tribrachs with optical or laser plummets,
- Digital levels
- And more.
If your instrument isn’t listed on our site, just ask us, chances are we have the expertise to calibrate it or can point you in the right direction.
How often should I calibrate my total station or laser level?
How often should I calibrate my total station or laser level?
It’s generally recommended to have your surveying instruments calibrated at least once a year. For high-use equipment like total stations or lasers used daily on active job sites, or laser levels that take a lot of bumps, more frequent calibration (e.g., every 6 months) might be wise. Regular calibration ensures your measurements stay accurate and can prevent costly errors in the field. If you notice your readings are off or after any significant jolt to the equipment, you should get it checked right away.
