SECO 5910-05 Sliding 25 mm Prism and Sectional Pole Kit

Overview

The SECO 5910-05 Sliding Prism and Sectional Pole Kit is a compact, modular surveying system designed for stakeout, construction layout, topographic measurements, and other total station applications.

The included 25 mm silver-coated prism features a 0 mm offset and mounts in a high-quality aluminum holder that tilts and slides along the pin pole. Integrated sight cones improve aiming and double as locks for securing the prism’s tilt.

Four 1-foot pole sections provide a maximum assembled pole length of 4 feet. Each section includes a 0.50-foot reference mark, allowing the system to be assembled in different configurations according to the required working height. A 5/8-11 adapter and protective system bag are included.

25 mm Silver-Coated Prism

The SECO 5910-05 includes a compact 25 mm silver-coated prism designed for reliable total station measurements.

Its smaller profile is well suited for construction stakeout, close-range layout, control work, and locations where a full-size prism assembly may be unnecessarily large or difficult to position.

0 mm Prism Offset

The included prism has a specified offset of:

The correct prism setting should be entered into the total station or field software before measurements are collected.

Prism-constant conventions may differ between instrument manufacturers, so the required setting should always be confirmed for the specific total station being used.

Sliding Prism Holder

The prism holder slides vertically along the assembled pin pole, allowing the prism height to be adjusted without changing the number of pole sections.

Once the required position is reached, the holder can be secured to maintain a consistent prism height during measurements.

This adjustment is useful when working around obstructions, changing instrument elevations, or setting the prism at a specific measured height.

Adjustable Tilting System

The prism can tilt within its aluminum holder, allowing the reflective surface to be aimed toward the total station.

Tilting the prism toward the instrument helps maintain a clear line of sight during measurements involving varying horizontal and vertical angles.

Sight Cones and Tilt Locks

The integrated sight cones provide a visible reference for aiming at the prism assembly.

These cones also function as the locks for the tilting mechanism. The operator can loosen them to adjust the prism angle and tighten them to secure the selected position.

Adjustable 40-Minute Vial

An adjustable 40-minute vial is incorporated into the prism assembly.

The vial provides a visual reference for keeping the pole vertical over a survey point, stake, nail, monument, or other control location. Its adjustable design allows it to be checked and recalibrated as part of routine equipment maintenance.

Four-Section Pole System

The kit includes four removable pole sections, each measuring:

When all four sections are assembled, the pole provides a total sectional length of 4 feet.
