Unlike a standard single prism that must be aimed directly toward the instrument, the GRZ122 provides 360° reflector visibility, allowing the total station to lock onto the prism from any horizontal direction. This makes it especially useful for one-person robotic surveying, stakeout, construction layout, and high-productivity field work.
