A built-in compass and 40-minute vial provide convenient directional and leveling references directly on the pole clamp. The SECO 5200-155 is compatible with existing SECO Quick-Release cradles and the Claw Quick-Release Cradle for mounting popular data collectors and field controllers.

Claw Over-Tightening Protection

The SECO Claw Series is designed to help prevent damage caused by excessive tightening of the pole clamp screw.

Its clamping function is mechanically limited so the operator cannot continue tightening beyond the intended range. This helps reduce the possibility of crushing, cracking, or permanently deforming compatible survey poles and rover rods.

Built-In Compass

A compass is integrated directly into the pole clamp, providing a convenient directional reference during fieldwork.

The compass can assist with general pole orientation and directional awareness without requiring the operator to carry or retrieve a separate handheld compass.

Integrated 40-Minute Vial

The SECO 5200-155 also includes a built-in 40-minute vial.

The vial provides a quick visual reference for checking the pole’s position during setup and field operation. It is integrated into the clamp so it remains easy to view while the controller mounting system is installed.

Quick-Release Cradle Compatibility

The clamp is compatible with SECO’s existing Quick-Release cradles designed for many popular data collectors and controllers.

It can also be paired with the SECO Claw Quick-Release Cradle to create a complete pole-mounting system. The appropriate cradle should be selected according to the specific controller or data collector being used.

Pole Compatibility

The SECO 5200-155 is designed primarily for poles with a 1.25-inch, or 32 mm, outside diameter.

A 1-inch, or 25.4 mm, pole may also be used. SECO Delrin Adapter D11145 is available separately to increase the outside diameter of a 1-inch pole to 1.25 inches for a proper clamp fit.
