Featuring a large 7" multi-touch display and a full QWERTY keyboard with numeric keypad, the Ranger 7 delivers rapid data entry, powerful performance, and crystal-clear visibility in bright field conditions. It’s built with glass-fiber reinforced housing, drop bumpers, and is IP68 and MIL-STD-810G certified—ready for the harshest environments.

Powered by an Intel® N4200 quad-core processor with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, the Ranger 7 runs professional-grade software with ease. Dual hot-swappable batteries deliver up to 8 hours of continuous use, keeping field crews productive without interruption. WWAN vs. Non-WWAN Models:

The Ranger 7 is available in two configurations to suit different field connectivity needs:

• WWAN Model: Includes an internal 4G LTE modem with SIM card support for direct cellular connectivity. Ideal for teams needing real-time cloud sync, RTK network access, and mobile internet without relying on hotspots or Wi-Fi.
• Non-WWAN Model: Offers all the same power and performance but connects only via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Perfect for jobsites with strong local network access or where cellular connectivity is not required.

Optimized for Spectra Origin Software:

The Ranger 7 is purpose-built to run Spectra Geospatial Origin field software—a modern, map-centric platform for GNSS, robotic total station, and integrated survey workflows. Origin delivers advanced tools like TDS COGO™, one-tap feature coding, layer and map management, and robust stakeout functionality directly from CAD, LandXML, or DXF files. With support for real-time cloud connectivity via Trimble Sync Manager™, users can easily transfer data between the field and office. Origin enables integrated surveys, giving users the power to switch between GNSS and total station within the same job file. From topographic surveys and control point networks to road staking and area calculations, Origin ensures faster, more accurate results—and the Ranger 7 is the ideal device to run it.

Optional EM120 2.4 GHz Radio Module - 110238-00-2

The Ranger 7 supports Empower™ modular technology, and one of its most powerful add-ons is the EM120 2.4 GHz radio module. This module enables long-range, license-free wireless communication with Spectra robotic total stations, such as the FOCUS 50. The EM120 provides fast and stable prism tracking, precise robotic control, and eliminates the need for external radios or cables. It installs directly into one of the two Empower module bays on the Ranger 7, keeping the setup compact and fully integrated for solo operation in robotic workflows.
