Like all magnetic locators in the Schonstedt lineup, the GA-92XTd detects only ferrous materials such as iron and steel—ignoring aluminum, brass, and copper—to precisely locate buried assets while preventing unnecessary digs. The GA-92XTd reaches detection depths of up to 20 feet (6 meters), thanks to its HeliFlux® sensors and advanced signal processing. The locator features both audio output and a visual bar graph on its backlit LCD screen, giving users immediate and intuitive feedback.
Engineered for one-handed operation, the GA-92XTd includes a membrane keypad, 4 sensitivity levels, and a battery indicator—all housed in a durable ABS case rated for tough jobsite environments. It runs on a standard 9V battery and comes backed by Schonstedt’s 7-year warranty, the best in the industry.
