Overview
The SECO 6405-12-FOR Nodal Point Stakeout Mini Prism is a compact 25 mm prism assembly designed for construction stakeout, layout, control work, and other precision total station applications.
Its built-in sight cones improve vertical-angle pointing and also function as the locking knobs for the tilting axis. An adjustable 40-minute vial is mounted on the front of the assembly, keeping it visible and accessible during setup and calibration.
The prism features a specified 17.5 mm nodal offset, a high-visibility Flo Orange finish, and an included carrying case for protection during transportation and storage.

25 mm Mini Prism
The SECO 6405-12-FOR uses a compact 25 mm prism suited for stakeout, layout, monitoring, and other measurements where a smaller target assembly is preferred.
Its compact design makes it easier to position close to structures, corners, foundations, utilities, and other restricted measurement locations.
17.5 mm Nodal Offset
The prism assembly has a specified nodal offset of:

The correct prism setting must be entered into the total station or field software before measurements are collected. Instrument manufacturers may display or apply prism constants differently, so the required equipment setting should be verified for the specific total station being used.
Sight Cones for Vertical-Angle Pointing
The prism includes sight cones designed to improve vertical-angle pointing.
These cones provide a clear reference when aiming the total station at the prism assembly, helping the operator identify the tilting axis and establish more consistent pointing.
Dual-Purpose Tilting-Axis Locks
The sight cones also function as the locking knobs for the prism’s tilting axis.
The operator can loosen the knobs to tilt the prism toward the instrument and then tighten them to secure the selected angle. This integrated design reduces the need for separate adjustment hardware.
Front-Mounted 40-Minute Vial
An adjustable 40-minute vial is mounted on the front side of the prism assembly.
The forward-facing location keeps the bubble easy to see while the prism is being positioned over a survey point. Maintaining a plumb setup helps place the prism center directly above the intended stake, nail, monument, or control point.
Adjustable Vial
The vial can be adjusted as part of routine prism maintenance.
