The Sokkia iX-1500 and iX-700 series are high-performance robotic total stations designed for precision surveying and construction layout. With advanced brushless direct drive motors, UltraTrac™ prism tracking, and versatile EDM performance, these instruments deliver reliable, single-operator workflows with minimal downtime.

Model Comparison:

• Rotation & Tracking: The iX-1500 achieves 150°/sec rotation and 20°/sec tracking, while the iX-700 offers 85°/sec rotation and 15°/sec tracking, making the 1500 notably faster for high-production environments.

• Measurement Range: The iX-1500 measures up to 800m (2,620 ft.) reflectorless and 6,000m (19,680 ft.) with a prism, while the iX-700 offers 600m (1,960 ft.) reflectorless and 4,000m (13,120 ft.) prism range.

• Angle Precision: The iX-1500 is available in 1", 3", and 5" models, while the iX-700 offers 2", 3", and 5" options. Both series provide a 0.5" minimum display (on 1"/2" models), giving surveyors finer resolution for staking and monitoring tasks.

• EDM Accuracy: Achieve 1 mm + 2 ppm with prisms and 2 mm + 2 ppm reflectorless (short range), with selectable fine, rapid, and tracking modes for flexible operation.

RC-PR5 Remote Control:
The RC-PR5 remote expands single-operator efficiency by enabling long-range communication with the total station. Using LongLink™ Bluetooth technology, it provides up to 600m (1,960 ft.) of remote prism search and instrument control. This allows operators to lock onto targets, trigger measurements, and adjust settings without returning to the instrument, reducing setup time and boosting productivity in the field.

In summary:

• iX-1500: Best for large-site layouts and high-precision tasks requiring maximum speed, range, and 1" accuracy.

• iX-700: Optimized for standard-range surveying and layout with balanced performance and cost.
