SECO 5218-02 Thumb-Release Tripod for 1 to 1.5 in Poles

Overview

The SECO 5218-02 Thumb-Release Tripod provides stable, freestanding support for compatible GNSS antenna poles, prism poles, rover rods, and other survey poles used in field applications.

The tripod uses the same thumb-action release and locking mechanism found on SECO’s popular Thumb-Release Bipod. Each of the three legs adjusts independently, allowing the tripod to be stabilized on slopes, uneven terrain, curbs, and other challenging surfaces.

An open clamp at the top accepts poles from 1 to 1.5 inches in outside diameter. The legs extend to 6 feet and collapse to 43 inches for easier transportation and storage. Four color options are available: Flo Yellow, Orange, Yellow, and Red.

Open-Clamp Pole Mounting

Compatible poles pass through the open clamp at the top of the tripod.

The open design allows the pole to be installed and positioned without requiring a specialized threaded connection. Once the pole is set at the desired position, the clamp holds it securely while the tripod provides freestanding support.

The clamp accepts poles with outside diameters ranging from:

• 1 to 1.5 in
• 25.4 to 38.1 mm

Thumb-Release Leg Adjustment

The SECO 5218-02 uses the same thumb-action release and locking mechanism found on SECO Thumb-Release Bipods.

Each leg can be released, extended, and locked using the thumb control. This allows survey crews to adjust the tripod quickly when moving between measurement points or working across changing terrain.

Independently Adjustable Legs

All three tripod legs adjust independently, allowing the setup to be stabilized on surfaces such as:

Independent leg adjustment helps maintain a stable pole position when the surrounding ground is not level.
