SECO 5218-40 Construction Series Thumb-Release Tripod

Overview

The SECO 5218-40 Construction Series Thumb-Release Tripod provides stable, freestanding support for compatible GNSS antenna poles, prism poles, rover rods, and other survey poles.

Its open top clamp accepts poles from 1 to 1.5 inches in outside diameter, allowing the pole to pass directly through the tripod head for quick installation and height adjustment. The tripod uses the same thumb-action release and locking mechanism found on SECO’s popular Thumb-Release Bipod.

Each leg adjusts independently, extending to 6 feet and collapsing to 43 inches for easier transportation and storage. The tripod is available in Red, Yellow, and Flo Yellow.

Open-Clamp Pole Mounting

Compatible poles pass directly through the open clamp at the top of the tripod.

This design allows the pole to be installed without removing accessories from its upper or lower end. Once positioned, the clamp holds the pole securely while the tripod provides freestanding support.

The tripod accepts poles with outside diameters ranging from:

• 1 to 1.5 in
• 25.4 to 38.1 mm

Thumb-Release Adjustment

The SECO 5218-40 uses the same thumb-action release and locking mechanism found on SECO’s Thumb-Release Bipod.

Each leg can be quickly released, adjusted, and locked using the thumb control. This allows crews to set up and reposition the tripod efficiently as they move between survey points or construction layout locations.

Independently Adjustable Legs

All three tripod legs adjust independently.

Independent adjustment allows the tripod to be stabilized on:
