The Schonstedt u-LOCATE+ is an enhanced version of the standard u-LOCATE, offering dual-frequency operation (33 kHz and 82 kHz) for locating a wider range of underground utilities. With active, passive, and Sonde (512 Hz) locating modes, it’s ideal for professionals who need flexibility across different jobsite conditions and utility types.
This lightweight system features directional arrows, real-time signal strength, and depth estimation up to 19 feet, making it fast and intuitive for any operator. It detects live power lines (50/60 Hz), conductive pipes, and non-metallic conduits equipped with sondes or tracing tools. Designed with durability in mind, the receiver is IP65-rated and powered by six AA batteries for up to 20 hours of use.
Enhanced Transmitter Features
The included 1-watt transmitter supports both 33 kHz and 82 kHz output for superior adaptability when tracing long-distance lines or congested underground zones. Signal can be applied via direct connection, induction, or optional clamp (sold separately). The transmitter is IP54-rated and runs on four D-cell batteries with field-adjustable power settings.
