Overview

The SECO 5527-22 3.60 m Carbon Fiber TLV Pole with Locking Pin is a versatile Quick Change™ survey pole designed for GNSS, robotic total station, and conventional total station applications.

The pole combines a lightweight carbon fiber outer section with a metric-graduated inner pole and adjusts from 1.58 m to 3.60 m. SECO’s TLV™ locking mechanism provides secure telescoping adjustment and incorporates a built-in 40-minute vial for convenient pole leveling.

A locking pin and corresponding height holes provide positive fixed-height positioning, while the included SECO 2090-12 adapter supports compatible SECO 6400 Series prism configurations.

Quick Change™ Survey Pole

The SECO 5527-22 is part of SECO’s Quick Change™ pole system, allowing the same pole platform to be used across multiple types of surveying work.

Depending on the installed equipment and adapter configuration, the pole can support:

Carbon Fiber Outer Pole

Metric-Graduated Inner Pole

The completed prism or antenna height should always be verified before entering it into the total station, GNSS controller, or field software.

SECO TLV™ Lock

The SECO 5527-22 incorporates SECO’s TLV™ locking mechanism for securing the telescoping pole at the desired height.

The TLV lock allows the operator to adjust the pole throughout its working range and then secure the inner section for measurement.

This provides flexible height adjustment when the required setup does not align with one of the fixed locking-pin positions.

Integrated 40-Minute Vial

A 40-minute vial is built directly into the TLV locking assembly.

The vial provides a convenient visual reference for keeping the pole vertical over a survey point, stake, monument, nail, or other reference.

Maintaining a plumb pole helps keep the mounted prism, GNSS receiver, or target positioned directly above the intended measurement point.

Locking Pin and Height Holes

In addition to the TLV mechanism, the pole includes a locking pin and corresponding holes.

The pin provides positive mechanical locking at the available hole positions, helping prevent unwanted movement of the telescoping section once the pole has been set.

This combination gives the operator both:

• Adjustable TLV locking
• Positive pin locking at designated positions

The retaining pin should be fully engaged before measurements are collected when using a fixed-height position.
