Returns and Exchanges

We are committed to providing high-quality surveying and construction equipment with reliable service and support. Because many of our products are precision instruments that require calibration, configuration, and manufacturer authorization, our return policies vary by product type. Please review the policy below before initiating a return.


Return Eligibility

• Most standard products may be returned within 60 days of the delivery date.
• Items must be unused, in new condition, and include all original packaging, manuals, accessories, and components.
• Products showing signs of use, wear, field exposure, or modification are not eligible for return.
Custom, special-order, configured, or clearance items are non-returnable unless verified as defective.


High-Value Equipment Returns (Total Stations, GNSS Receivers, Robotics, Data Collectors)

Due to the technical nature and manufacturer service requirements of these instruments, the following conditions apply:

Total stations, GNSS receivers, robotic systems, digital/optical levels, and data collectors are only returnable if Absolute Accuracy authorizes the return after troubleshooting.
• A return will be approved only if the unit is confirmed to be defective after diagnostic review with our technical team.
• If the issue is operational, configuration-related, or user-related, and the product is not defective, the return will not be authorized.
• Units sent back without prior authorization or without an RA number will be refused and returned to sender.

This policy ensures that precision instruments are evaluated properly and protects both the customer and manufacturer warranty coverage.


Non-Returnable Items

• Customized, special-order, configured kits, or personalized items
• Products marked “Final Sale”
• Used, damaged, altered, or incomplete items
• Items missing serial numbers or tamper-evident seals
• Software, licenses, firmware-activated upgrades, and digital downloads


Return Process

  1. Contact us first at info@aaisurvey.com or (323) 662-9237 to request a Return Authorization (RA).

  2. Provide serial numbers, order details, photos, and a description of the issue so our team can assist with troubleshooting.

  3. If the return is approved, you will receive an RA number with shipping instructions.

  4. The RA number must be clearly marked on the return package. Unauthorized returns will be rejected.

  5. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is confirmed defective or the error was ours.


Exchanges

• Standard products may be exchanged for another model or variation if they meet return eligibility criteria.
• High-value instruments cannot be exchanged unless determined defective and approved by our team.


Refunds

• Refunds are issued to the original payment method 7–10 business days after inspection and approval of the returned item.
• Shipping, handling, and insurance charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
• Items returned in non-new condition may be subject to refusal or an adjusted refund at our discretion.


Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us within 3 business days of delivery.
We will arrange troubleshooting, repair, replacement, or return authorization depending on the issue.
